This is a cytology slide of a mast cell tumor—a malignant skin tumor commonly found in pets. We recommend needle aspirations for cytology of most growths found on your pet, and can usually make the diagnosis in our hospital. |

In addition to performing numerous tests in our hospital, we also utilize outside labs for more specialized tests. We most commonly use Antech Laboratories in Kansas City for blood tests and pathology specimens. Usual turn-around-time for both facilities is 24-48 hours. |
