Dr. Tom Liebl earned his
doctoral degree in Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University in
1985. In 1985-86 he completed an internship in small animal medicine and
surgery at Rowley Memorial Animal Hospital in Springfield, MA. After
practicing in Framingham, MA. for one year, he spent another three years
in a small animal practice in Manhattan Beach, CA. He joined the staff
at CPAH in January of 1990. Dr. Liebl achieved Diplomate status of the
American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (Canine and Feline Practice)
in 1994. Dr. Liebl comes from a family of veterinarians—his father,
brother and sister are all veterinarians.
He, his wife Kim, and three children (Brecken, Parker and McKenzie),
have a long-haired Dachshund named Tori. Tom and Kim are active in
Corpus Christi church where Tom is hospitality minister. Dr. Liebl’s
time away from the hospital include; family activities, coaching youth
baseball and basketball, and Scouting. He also enjoys mountain biking
and cruising on his Harley Davidson. |

Dr. Gary Olson graduated from
Kansas State University in 1972. He spent two years in Elkhart, Indiana
before moving back to Lawrence in 1974 to establish the Clinton Parkway
Animal Hospital. He has three married daughters, three granddaughters and
two grandsons. Dr. Olson has been a board member of Kansas City
Veterinary Medical Association, Kansas Veterinary Medical Association,
president of the Douglas County Veterinary Association and an area
director for the American Animal Hospital Association. Dr. Olson has one
pet, Emma—a yellow lab who spends her days at the hospital greeting
clients. He is an avid golfer. |

Dr. Joanne Burns is our consulting
radiologist. She was born and raised in rural Indiana. Hence she is an
avid basketball fan. Dr. Burns graduated from Purdue University School
of Veterinary Medicine in 1975. Following three years in small animal
practice she went to the University of Missouri-Columbia for a three
year residency in radiology. Dr. Burns became a Diplomate of the
American College of Veterinary Radiology in 1981. From 1981-1989 she was
a faculty member at Mississippi State University College of Veterinary
Medicine. Since 1991 she has been a consultant in the Lawrence-Kansas
City area in radiology and ultrasound.
