Protect your pet— the first step is knowledge
Anyone who loves their pets would do just about anything to keep them happy and healthy forever. The question is, are they in perfect health or do they need veterinary attention to prevent future problems?
Our pets can’t tell us how they are feeling, only diagnostic testing can. The Wellness Profile is the easiest and best way to get an overall picture of your pet’s health.

Wellness Profiles can provide you and your veterinarian a clear picture of your animal’s overall health. It can help identify problems early so your pet can be diagnosed and properly treated; or, if all tests are normal, provide comforting peace of mind.

Including a Wellness Profile with your pet’s physical examination will provide a more complete picture of your pet’s overall health. It will help you know that you’re doing all you can to keep them healthy and happy.

But what if my dog looks and acts perfectly healthy?

We cannot stress this enough:

We strongly believe in the power of preventive health care!

As we try to convey on a regular basis, bringing your pet in for a thorough physical exam once or twice a year is the cornerstone to keeping your pet happy and healthy. But sometimes, a physical exam just isn’t enough; the physical may give clues but there are many conditions, which can only be detected by laboratory tests or additional diagnostic procedures.

What can we do about problems when we find them?

Many problems such as heart or kidney disease can be minimized by dietary changes. Newer arthritic drugs have been helpful in relieving your pet’s discomfort. It is important to monitor oral health since dental disease can have secondary changes in the heart and kidneys.

By identifying changes early, we have a much higher success rate
in keeping your pet as healthy as possible for as long as possible
.

Where should I start with my dog?

We can help you decide which level of the "Special Health Care Program" for your older pet is most appropriate, and make decisions regarding follow-up visits to monitor changes in the years to come.

Special Canine Health Care Programs:

"Junior" and "Adult" Wellness Profiles:

A "Junior" Wellness Profile is indicated for dogs between 2 and 6 years of age, and the Adult Wellness Profile is indicated for dogs beginning at a “human relative age” of 40 years. These profiles use blood tests to evaluate internal organ function, especially the liver and kidneys, and monitor changes in red and white blood cells. It provides a “snapshot” of your pet’s health to help us monitor changes in the years to come.

 “Golden” and “Senior” Wellness Profiles:

Beginning at a “human relative age” over 50 years, the “Golden” and “Senior” Wellness Profiles are more thorough than the “Adult” Wellness Profile. They include a urinalysis, which aids in detecting early stages of kidney disease, one of the more common problems seen in older dogs.

“Comprehensive” Wellness Profile:

A “Comprehensive” wellness profile includes evaluation of your senior pet’s complete health status. Chest x-rays are added to provide more “pieces of the puzzle” when assessing your pet’s health status.

By sharing life and love with you, your dog has given you a
priceless gift. You now have an opportunity to give something in return:
the special love and care that can make their life happy and healthy.

We offer a 35% savings on
all of our wellness profiles.
